“Environment shapes behavior. The beauty of the physical environment is essential. It nourishes the spirit. You can’t show a person how to build a better life if they feel no pleasure in the simple act of being alive. You can’t inspire a person to live a better life if they don’t know what a good life feels like.” Bill Strickland
In June 2012, NECAT signed a lease at 23 Bradston Street in the Newmarket District of Boston, on the borders of Roxbury, Dorchester and the South End.
The space has been transformed to accommodate NECAT’s Culinary Arts job-training program, and includes a beautiful teaching auditorium, commercial kitchen, classroom space, plus office and gallery space. The Center has been fitted out to world-class standards, reflecting Bill Strickland’s philosophy that ”Environment Shapes Behavior”.
