NECAT’s 10th cohort of students hosted an incredible World Cuisine on June 15 to showcase all they have learned during their time in the program. The students were polished, professional and created some delicious dishes, including Pollo Guisau, a braised chicken and rice dish from the Dominican Republic, Panamanian Ceviche, and classic American strawberry shortcake.
The event was a celebration of our hard-working students, who only have two days left at NECAT before launching their new and exciting careers. To mark the occasion, we were joined by Boston City Council Member Ayanna Pressley, who gave an empowering and impassioned speech to the soon-to-be-graduates and guests. We are so honored that the Councilwoman is including NECAT in the arsenal of organizations with which she works to help so many in Boston achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Mark your calendars now for the next World Cuisine on August 18, 12:00 to 2:00 pm! RSVP now at www.WCS11.eventbrite.com.
